Frequently asked questions
Who is this designed for?
Investment professionals who want to use AI properly in their own work: analysts, portfolio managers, principals, partners. It works for whole teams and for groups drawn from across a firm.
Who have you done this for?
Veden is new. We launched in 2026, but our team isn’t new to this work. Phil has built and deployed AI with investment teams since 2021, and George led Hebbia AI deployments across hedge funds, banks, and private equity firms.
Our team is at very different levels. Does that work?
Yes, and it’s the norm. We survey participants before we build the sessions, so we know who’s where. Everyone works on their own material, which means the same exercise stretches a first-time user and someone already building their own workflows.
We can’t commit to a five-week series. Is there another way to run it?
Yes. The same program runs as a one or two day off-site, or as workshops inside an off-site you already have planned. The scoping call is where we set the shape.
Why not just have our team figure this out themselves?
Some of them will, and the people who do are usually the ones with time on the weekend. We help you avoid months of trial and error by focusing on the techniques and workflows that are most useful for the work you actually do.
Couldn’t we run these sessions internally?
You can, and some firms do it decently. In practice, internal sessions are usually IT-led or run by junior members of the team, which makes them hard to land with senior investors. We do one thing: teach investors to use AI on investor work. And we often team up with your internal AI leaders to prepare and facilitate the sessions together.
We’ve done AI training before and it didn’t land. Why is this different?
Most corporate AI training is generic, and mostly explanations and demos. Our workshops are investor-led and hands-on, built around your asset class, your process, and your tools. You spend the session building rather than watching, and leave with assets you can use immediately.
Our firm uses ChatGPT, Copilot, or an internal AI tool, not Claude. Does that matter?
No. We adapt what we teach to the tools your firm has approved, including internal AI platforms. The tools will keep changing, the skills and workflows we teach carry across them.
Do you need access to our data?
No. You work on your own material in your own environment. We never need to hold it.
Is this about tools, or about how to work?
Both. We help you get more out of the tools you already have, but tools change every few months. How you brief a model, judge what comes back, and build something reusable does not.
What if someone misses a session?
Everything lives in a learning hub built for your team, with the materials and resources to catch up. Office hours cover the rest.
How much time does this take?
60 to 90 minutes per session, plus whatever you choose to put in between.
Do you teach agents?
We can. Most of the value available to an investment team needs no technical setup at all, so we start there, but we can help your team build agents too.
Is this training, or are you building systems for us?
Teaching. You and your team build the workflows, and you own everything you make. When a team wants help taking something further, that’s separate advisory work, scoped separately with your IT.
