Investors don’t have time for generic AI tutorials.

That’s why Veden runs hands-on AI training for investment teams: small groups, your firm’s approved tech stack, your team’s real work. Improve how you invest with AI workflows you understand and control.

Our team brings experience from McKinsey, Lazard, Jarislowsky Fraser, Hebbia, and private equity firms.

Built for investment teams in public and private markets

The problem

The gap isn’t interest.
It’s time.

You know there’s more you should be doing with AI, but figuring out where and how to use it properly in your work takes time you don’t have.

You use AI, but you sense you’re only scratching the surface and mostly use it to speed up tedious work or help you ramp up.

It’s hard to keep up. Every week brings another model, feature, or AI use case. It’s tough to tell what’s actually relevant to your work, worth learning, and allowed by your firm.

You’ve sat through AI training before, run by IT or juniors. Demos and generic use cases, nothing about how you invest. A week later, nothing changes.

Learning to use AI properly feels like a second job. You shouldn’t have to figure it out on your own, in the margins of a week that’s already full.

Our team

For investors, by investors.

We use AI extensively in our own work and have spent our careers working with senior investors.

Phil Wibaux

Phil started his investment career in derivatives trading at BNP Paribas in Geneva before covering Canadian equities at Jarislowsky Fraser (~$40B AUM). Over six years at McKinsey, he led work with some of the world’s largest private equity firms and institutional investors across asset classes. He returned to investing as senior analyst at a hedge fund and VP Investments at a software-focused private equity firm. Since 2021, Phil has helped investment teams build and deploy AI models, and used AI across his own investment work.

George Vatistas, Strategic Advisor

George started his investment career on Alimentation Couche-Tard’s corporate M&A team (TSX: ATD, $70B market cap) before joining Lazard as an investment banker in New York. He then spent three years as Head of Equities at Hebbia, a leading AI platform for investment professionals, responsible for deployments across hedge funds, banks, and private equity firms representing over US$20 trillion in combined AUM. George has helped train frontier AI models in finance for one of the world’s leading AI companies.

Our approach

We do one thing: teach investors to use AI on investor work.

We do one thing: teach investors to use AI on investor work.

We teach investment teams to build and use AI workflows on their actual work, inside their firm’s rules. You learn how to give AI the right context, get stronger outputs, know when to check it, and how to turn the best use cases into workflows you can reuse.

AI can strengthen your work, but it doesn’t replace your judgment. Use it to surface, organize, analyze, challenge, draft, and flag. You still decide what matters, what to ask, what to trust, and what to do.

The tools change. The ability to brief them well, judge what comes back, and build repeatable workflows carries across them. That’s what we teach.

Here are a few examples of what that can look like:

Memos and letters in your voice.

Go from a voice note to a full memo or quarterly letter, drafted in your tone.

Company, industry or theme ramp-up.

Build a view on a new name, sector, or thematic within hours.

Management meeting briefs.

Use filings, transcripts, notes and research to surface inconsistencies and draft questions for management.

Your investor context.

The structured instructions to teach AI what you cover, how you invest, what you care about, and how you write.

Thesis pressure-testing panel.

AI challengers that test your assumptions, build the countercase, and raise hard questions your IC may ask.

Filing, transcript, and data room teardowns.

Parse 10-Ks, earnings calls, CIMs, and data rooms, with what matters pulled out.

Designed around your firm’s security and compliance rules.

Before session one, we sit with your IT and compliance teams to establish what’s permitted: which tools, which data, which use cases. Everything we teach runs on the stack your firm has approved and inside your data-handling rules. Your material stays in your environment, and we never hold it. No live position, deal, or holding is needed for any exercise. We’ll sign your NDA and complete your vendor DDQ.

We don’t pretend AI is risk-free. Using AI means data moves to a model provider under your firm’s agreements. Using AI safely is an important skill, which we teach alongside everything else.

Well-trained people on approved tools beat rogue AI use. The most common AI risk inside firms is people using unapproved tools for firm work. Proper training on your approved stack is how that stops.

Data discipline is part of the curriculum. We teach your team what belongs in which tool and what never does: MNPI, client data, and confidential deal material stay where your policies say they stay.

Your team owns everything it builds. Prompts, workflows, playbooks: your firm’s IP, not ours.

Training formats

We adapt the program to what works best for your team. Most teams pick one of four options:

AI workshop series

Four to five workshops where you build AI skills and workflows for your own investment work, with office hours in between.

1-2 day AI off-site

The full program in one or two days, for teams that know weekly workshops will get bumped by live deals and market volatility.

AI workshops during your off-site

Your off-site is already planned? Bring us in to run AI workshops as part of your agenda.

Custom AI training and advisory

Need something else? One-on-one coaching for senior leaders, targeted trainings or support on AI implementation.

We try to keep groups small on purpose. Past twenty people nobody asks questions or builds anything, and building is the point.

Fit

Who this is for:

You’re a senior investor who wants to use AI better. Your investment expertise runs deep. AI is newer terrain, and you want to learn it properly.

You know there’s more, but not where to start. You can see AI could do far more for your work. You’re not sure which parts of your process to point it at, or how much to trust what comes back.

Your AI’s answers often fall short, and you’re not sure how to fix it. What comes back feels generic or just misses your bar. That’s often a fixable context and technique problem.

You want to build it yourself, so you can trust it. You don’t want a black box making calls in your process. When you’ve built the thing yourself, you know what it can do, and when to check it.

Your time is the constraint. You want your hours back for the parts of the job that need your judgment.

You’d rather learn it from investors. People who’ve used these tools on the work you do, and can show you what applies, instead of losing six months to trial and error.

Who this is not for:

You’re not convinced AI matters for your work. That’s fine. We’re not here to change your mind.

You want AI to give you investment recommendations. You’re looking for AI stock picks, trading recommendations, or investment advice. That isn’t what this is.

You want a seminar, not a working session. You’d rather attend a talk about AI theory than do the work in the room.

You’d rather delegate. You want someone else in your organization to build everything for you. That’s a legitimate choice, but it isn’t this.

Your firm hasn’t approved any AI tools yet. Start there. We’re happy to advise you on tool selection and deployment.

You’re a retail investor. We work with professional investment teams at firms, not individuals.

FAQ

Common questions.

Who have you done this for?

Veden is new. We launched in 2026, but our team isn’t new to this work. Phil has built and deployed AI with investment teams since 2021, and George led Hebbia AI deployments across hedge funds, banks, and private equity firms.

Our firm uses ChatGPT, Copilot, or an internal AI tool, not Claude. Does that matter?

No. We adapt what we teach to the tools your firm has approved, including internal AI platforms. The tools will keep changing, the skills and workflows we teach carry across them.

Our team is at very different levels. Does that work?

Yes, and it’s the norm. We survey participants before we build the sessions, so we know who’s where. Everyone works on their own material, which means the same exercise stretches a first-time user and someone already building their own workflows.

Why not just have our team figure this out themselves?

Some of them will, and the people who do are usually the ones with time on the weekend. We help you avoid months of trial and error by focusing on the techniques and workflows that are most useful for the work you actually do.

Couldn’t we run these sessions internally?

You can, and some firms do it decently. In practice, internal sessions are usually IT-led or run by junior members of the team, which makes them hard to land with senior investors. We do one thing: teach investors to use AI on investor work. And we often team up with your internal AI leaders to prepare and facilitate the sessions together.

We’ve done AI training before and it didn’t land. Why is this different?

Most corporate AI training is generic, and mostly explanations and demos. Our workshops are investor-led and hands-on, built around your asset class, your process, and your tools. You spend the session building rather than watching, and leave with assets you can use immediately.

Do you need access to our data?

No. You work on your own material in your own environment. We never need to hold it.
